I love animals. I have experience with every type of pet you can think of from snakes and bearded dragons to cats, gerbils, hamsters birds and dogs to fish and frogs. I currently have gerbils and rabbits, I am however thinking about getting birds.
I am currently in the middle of converting one of my rooms in my house into a pet room - a safe space for my animals.
I will be housing the gerbils there and also possibly moving my (now outdoor rabbit) indoors and allowing the rabbits to free roam and just stay in the room at night.
Would it be possible to have birds in the room as well or should I reconsider and keep them in seperate rooms? -Species I have been considering would be Eastern Rosella, Bourkes Parakeets, Cockatiels or Budgies.
If I should keep them in separate rooms I will be converting the room into a bird only room. The birds will have their own cages but would be allowed free fly during the daytime whilst there are people at home (which there are most of the time), are there any bird species that would not go well with other species or does it just depend on the bird itself? What about cockatoos/macaws and larger parrots should they stay separate?
