I am planning on staying at my boyfriend’s house for a couple of nights, and no one at home can care for my bearded dragon so I need to take him with me. For background info, my beardie has an enclosure setup at his house and has done well staying there before.
My boyfriends little brother, who he does not share a room with, recently adopted two rats. One recently died of a suspected upper respiratory infection, and the other one is now ill with what we assume to be the same infection. The rats enclosure is most always kept in his little brother’s room except for when his little brother takes the rats with him when he is staying overnight at another house.
I tried doing some google research on this, but nothing came up. I would assume that a mammalian virus would not affect a reptile, but wanted to consult you guys just in case. I would be absolutely devastated if anything happened to my little guy (his name is salsa), and I want to do the best I can to protect him.
