Frustration.

I just posted the other day about my new dragon, given to me by a coworker. Her husbandry was off, but she seemed in high spirits in any case, and it looked to be an easy fix.

My coworker has practically killed her.

I've spent $400 at two vets the past 48 hours to be told that things aren't looking good. She's so dehydrated and malnourished that she's anemic. She has no muscle mass or fat stores whatsoever. Last night she threw up several times, and she keeps going super pale. They couldn't even do a blood test on her she's so anemic. She's got three medications to take, and I have to syringe feed her a slurry, and for what? She may not even make it. The vets aren't optimistic.

She deserved better. I'm so frustrated. Why don't people do their fucking research before getting an animal?? She's been eating dehydrated bugs, pellets, and kale her whole life. Poor thing clearly feels miserable. It's so fucking unfair. I'm glad that if this is the end, my coworker's kid didn't have to see it, but I'm pissed if this is the end. She potentially had so many years to live, and now my wife and I are unsure if she'll make it through each night.
