After months of working towards it I can finally get a dragon… but my grandmother is terrified of lizards and, if setup, won’t go into its part of the house!

I’ve worked my butt off for 5 months in order for my parents to approve of it. But if I do my grandmother, of Hispanic origin, won’t go near it. I want to try to slowly get her to like it but don’t know if it’s possible, considering most fears don’t go away. Advice is very welcome.
