I’ve been really confused and stressed about this for a while now.
I’m getting a bearded dragon around august/September and I’m trying to prepare myself as much as possible and there’s something that I’ve seen so so many mixed answers on.
And that’s substrate.
I’ve seen many people say that sand is bad as it can cause impaction.
I’ve seen people say that tile can cause joint issues.
I’ve seen people say reptile carpet can damage limbs and nails.
And I literally cant think of anything else to use?
I’ve heard that a topsoil mix of soil and play sand is good? Maybe? I’m not really sure as I’ve only heard a bit about it, even though it was all positive I never want to be too sure!!
Maybe half tile, half topsoil??
