i’m not sure where else to put this to get engagement or advice. my friend owns a bearded dragon which i never thought was a good idea, considering his depression and lack of keeping things clean/taking care of himself. i couldn’t say the exact measurements of its enclosure but it looks too small, there’s reptile carpet im certain is never cleaned, he lets piles of poop collect and just rarely cleans, there’s only a hide, a dirty plastic plant and a stick for the lizard to climb on. there’s a red light on it which very quickly within doing my own research i learned is bad for the lizard’s health. and i know for a fact it rarely leaves the dirty glass box. i just don’t understand how someone could make this many mistakes if they had actually done research or cared. when my other friend and I remind him to clean up, or change the filthy water it feels like we are being an annoyance. it feels not fair for it to live a life like this because its owner is lazy. he’s mentioned maybe giving it away before, how can i encourage this? it feels like a difficult subject
