I finally have my tank all set up and ready for a dragon but I was thinking about something last night that made me wonder:
Right now at room temperature, the tank/room’s humidity level says 40-43%.
we wanted to test the basking lights so we left them on for a few hrs.
For the basking side, we got the temperature/humidity level inside to the appropriate range. The cool side had a good temp but the humidity was 20-23%. Is this too low ? I see on diff sites the range should be either 20-35% or 30-40%. Which of these ranges are correct ? Or would it be safe to say that 20-40% is a good range for humidity ? Are dragonet picky or is there wiggle room around the range ?
Since my house can go up to 43%, at room temp, Is this going to be an issue when we get the dragon and the lights go off for the night and it reaches 43% until the lights go back on next day ?
Also unrelated to humidity, when the tank lights go off for the night, but WE are still up and have room lights on, is that going to disrupt/confuse his sleeping / cycle ? Our living room at night usually has some soft dimmed lights on while we watch tv so it’s not super bright but when we have ppl over to play board games or something, then we turn on all lights so we can see. Should we cover his tank w a sheet or something as to not disturb him lol ?
