My girl is about 7 months old and is in a 60 gallon. I am preparing to move her to a 4'x2'x2' enclosure. Do you folks have recommendations for a good one? I'd like one that has a good spot to put the UVB tube and heat lamp-- does that exist? I don't want to have to set it just on the top of the tank if possible.
Additionally, what size uvb fixture will I need for this tank? Only 2', or greater than that? Where do you recommend buying one from? (my current is only 18"). Also-- what kind of heat lamp/bulb do you guys use for your 4'x2'x2's? I'm worried if I put the lamp on the top, it won't warm the basking spot enough unless the basking spot is really high up.
Okay, final question--what substrate? I've read so many conflicting opinions. Right now I use reptile carpet, but I've heard that has downsides too. I've heard about "bioactive " type tanks-- is that the best method?
