I've thought about it for a while and I'm ready to get a reptile I can plan to care for for many years to come. Only issue is I don't know what one will be the best choice!
I'm mostly looking for a lizard/gecko/skink that is: 1) Not extremely specialized or difficult to care for 2) Is larger (~7-14 inches) 3) Is friendly and active 4) Can handle handling at least once or twice a week 5) Costs less than $200 (for pet alone)
I was given a 65 gallon tank recently that I can use to set up an enclosure. I'm going to do extensive research on any type I may get and provide the best level of care I possibly can.
Last note: I was originally mainly considering a leopard gecko but I want something slightly bigger I think, I'm not a big fan off bearded dragons, and blue tongue skinks only seemed available for $300+
Thank you in advance for any response/help!
