Hello, I run a reptile blog and I was considering making a blog post discussing whether bearded dragons are beginner reptiles or not. I know that many sources on the internet say that they indeed are, though I have heard from other people that owning one is a lot more involved than what they thought. Anyways, I just wanted to hear from you guys what your take is on this. Do you think they are beginner, or more intermediate? Are they more or less involved than you thought? Is there anything you wish you would have known before getting one? Personal stories are absolutely welcome! And of course, this is no hate toward beardies :) they are great reptile companions of course--I just think that it is good to share experiences and hopefully prevent someone in the future from getting one and then realizing it's more than they can handle.
