I’m stuck between a bearded Dragon and a Leopard Gecko. I’m a beginner reptile owner, this would be my first reptile. My mom (I’m 16) is letting me get one when we move into a new house! We are in a 700 sft apartment for now as a 4 person family, me and my brother don’t even have our own rooms so no space at all.
The monetary needs, tank needs, heat/uvb needs, dietary needs, and all that are both things that are perfectly fine for me to handle! So I’m stuck. The only thing I want out of a reptile is something I can interact with on the daily and chill with. Just being able to watch tv with it or have it in the tank while I do homework. Like just keeping me company since I get lonely super easily.
I don’t know if it’s leopard geckos or beardies that apply to this more. Leopard geckos are so cute too, very small. But I don’t know if they take handling the same way a beardie does.
