Hi all, my 3 year old Norbert was diagnosed with URI recently. He was prescribed Fortaz injections and some grub pie to help him eat (he had no appetite, and still doesn’t). The symptoms of the URI like wheezing and trouble breathing have luckily subsided, but my boy is still not well. He’s lethargic, is slightly black-bearded, and has no appetite (he only eats from syringe, even then he isn’t stoked to eat). The vet says it takes a few injections before we see much improvement, and he’s had 4 so far, the 5th is tomorrow. I just can’t stand to see my little guy so uncomfortable. The vet doesn’t sound concerned based on what I say on the phone, and she reiterated that it takes time to heal from a URI. I don’t know if I’m worrying too much. It’s hard to give it time when Norbert is clearly not himself. Does anyone have any advice as to what to expect for this recovery process? Any reassurance would be so appreciated. I’m so anxious and worried about him. Thank you in advance!
Edit: he’s also not posturing/basking unless I place him in his basking spot. Today he’s been laying totally flat, not holding his head up.
