Feeding/drinking success I’ve had.

I’m not sure if any of this may help anyone but I know it was something I was curious about myself so here goes.

We’ve got two young bearded dragons, and have been feeding them a combination of reptilinks, greens, a few worms as treats, and the rep cal vitamins and calcium supplements mixed in.

Both of the snarky things will drink out of their water dishes, I used a mix of water and apple juice(organic) the second week and now just straight water because honestly they didn’t care either way. I took care of two older ones a few years back for a friend temporarily (3 months) that would not drink at all from one. So this was a very nice surprise.

I use shallow and wide food bowls, both of them took to eating reptilinks, greens, non live food automatically which again was awesome. However I did use organic applesauce that first week to help transition them from whatever petco was feeding them to this. Now they come running if they see you go to the fridge because they think it’s time for more bites. Please cut the reptilinks into small portions and roll them into balls or mix them with greens. They need it out of its casing and properly sized.

Rep cal vitamins and their calcium supplements are meant to be mixed in a 1:1 ratio. Grab a good container and add both and mix them up good, will save time and guess work.

We used mega ray bulbs (70 watt) because I’ve used them for about 2 years with other reptiles (and parrots) and the absolute difference they make on health and activity for my animals compared to the fluorescent bulbs of all types is extremely noticeable in my opinion.

Any other questions just ask or message and I’ll help any way I can.

Thanks everyone!
