Hey. So I really want a cat, but we have a dog. The problem is, our dog is a hunting dog. He absolutely despises other dogs, due to being attacked by one when he was a puppy. We have also have two lizards in our home; a bearded dragon and a leopard gecko. When we first got the lizards, our dog would constantly whimper and show annoyance whenever our lizards would move in their terrariums. He got used to it after a few months, so now he doesn't really pay attention to them. We sometimes have our bearded dragon out of his terrarium when we feed him. Our dog will frequently watch us feed our beardie (we don't let him get SUPER close to it), but the dog doesn't really try to do anything bad such as trying to attack it. He just stands there and watches. If he gets bored, he'll just walk away.
So I'm wondering how it will go with a cat? We don't have any plans to have a cat yet because of the dog, and it'll probably never happen since my mom is kinda skeptical of cats. But I just wanted some tips just in case, since he is a hunting dog afterall.
